The White iPhone 4 is here!
Finally after 10 months of waiting (for those people who wants a White iPhone 4) Apple releases its colored White iPhone 4 and it will be available on Thursday.
“a full 309 days after it was supposed to be launched, Apple said it has discovered the secret sauce to manufacturing its smartphone in a white casing, and it is ready to put the device on sale at Apple, Verizon and AT&T stores across the US” – CNN
And I’m assuming that it will be available here in Asia after a month or 2 and here in the Philippines maybe after 3-4 months (why do Philippines always get it late?).
The Black iPhone 4 went on sale last June 24, 2010 and Apple said that the White iPhone 4 is “proven more challenging to manufacture than expected, and as a result they will not be available until the second half of July”. And after a month, Apple said that they are still working out the bugs in the manufacturing process, and that the devices wouldn’t be available until later in 2010. Then came October 2010 where they announces that the White iPhone 4 is finally available for presale online for exactly one day but Apple immediately retreated and pushed back the date back to spring. Then on Wednesday (April 27, 2011) Apple said that the White iPhone 4 is ready to go on sale.
"The white iPhone 4 has finally arrived and it's beautiful, we appreciate everyone who has waited patiently while we've worked to get every detail right." - Phil Schiller, Apple's chief marketing officer, said in a prepared statement.
Correct me if I’m wrong, isn’t the difference of the Black iPhone 4 to the White iPhone 4 is only the color? Or the White iPhone 4 has more features than the Black iPhone 4? If it’s the color only then why it took 10 months for Apple to release this model?
Well, anyways if you’re in the U.S. and wanting to have a White iPhone 4, then good for you because it’s now available.
